(i) Mechanical watch :

a) not enough winding power
b) dry movement
c) damaged parts such as balance wheel, balance axle, gears, hairspring, main spring and ceased rotor

(ii) Quartz watch

a) low or out of battery
b) damaged parts such as broken coil and circuit short
c) dry movement
